Tips for Installing a New HVAC System in a Brand New Home

Rebuilding your house after the October 2017 Tubs fires can be an emotional experience with its rewards and challenges. As you design every room, you do not want to neglect your new HVAC system. The best way to go about doing this is by hiring a local Santa Rosa HVAC contractor to guide you along the way. You need to know what is going on at every step of the process, and here are some steps to follow to ensure you get the perfect HVAC to go inside your newly built home.

1. Consider Purchasing an Energy Star System

Over the past few years, more homeowners have become aware of the importance of installing energy efficient systems in their houses. With so many different units out there, it can be tough to know which ones are worth getting. Fortunately, you just need to look for the Energy Star logo. This logo signifies that the system in question meets certain government requirements. With one of these units, you can cool down or heat up your home without worrying about getting an excessively high electric bill.

2. Do Not Oversize

Bigger is not necessarily better when it comes to your HVAC system. You need to choose the appropriate size when it comes to installing an air conditioner, furnace or heat pump. When you buy a unit that is too large for the space, it decreases the overall efficiency. Ultimately, you end up with more premature wear and tear on your system because it is incapable of maintaining the proper temperature in your house. You also end up with higher power bills. You do not need either of these things after you have spent a ton of money constructing your new home.

3. Pay Attention to the Thermostat

If you decide to install an HVAC unit on your own, then most of your attention will likely go toward the air conditioner and furnace. However, when you hire an HVAC contractor, you know some attention goes toward the thermostat, which is just as important. More specifically, you want to install a smart thermostat that pinpoints the most accurate temperature you want. These smart thermostats learn your behavior over time, so it will automatically adjust depending on the time of day. Additionally, some devices come with Wi-Fi capability, so you can alter the temperature right from your phone.

The Tubbs fire in 2017 destroyed many homes. Many homeowners in the area are in the process of rebuilding, and the professionals at Next Level HVAC are here to help. I thought it was interesting how you said to pay attention to the thermostat when installing an HVAC system. My wife and I have been considering replacing our current heater and air conditioner. It would be great if we could find a company that could install a ductless split system.

I like how you pointed out that when bigger isn't necessarily better when it comes to installing an HVAC system into a house that's under construction. The reason for this is that if you make the mistake of buying a system that would not only drop the energy efficiency rating, but it would also end up being worn and torn. While I have no experience when it comes to getting an HVAC installation system into my house, at lesat it pays to nkow that bigger doesn't really mean better at this point.

Paying attention to the thermostat is a great idea. Installing a new unit sounds like a great way to also fix the major issues that may be happening. My sister moved into a new home that has a lot of issues with the furnace.

My wife and I are working on designing a new home, and we want to make sure that we buy the right sizes of components for our heating and cooling systems. Air conditioning has many uses besides keeping us comfortable. Many industries depend on it to keep the air in their plants clean, cool and at the right moisture level. For example, textile fiber such as wool and cotton will stretch or shrink as the moisture content of air changes. This causes variations in the quality of the cloth. Too much moisture in the air -or even on a worker's fingertips- will cause delicate metal parts such as rocket components or precision instruments instrument to corrode. The wrong temperature can spoil a batch of antibiotic culture. Proper air conditioning prevents this mishap.

That's a good point that an air conditioning unit that's too big can be just as bad for energy efficiency as one that's too small. My brother and his wife have are getting ready to build a new house next year. They probably will get a split system air conditioning system so that they can keep different rooms at different temperatures.

I just recently had my house contracted, and air conditioner is the only that is lacking. Thank you for this; I'll make sure to choose an appropriate size because bigger AC would be too large for my space which then can decrease the overall efficiency. One more this is, I will need to find a reliable and trustworthy AC installation service.
